The Heart and Strength of Kalana Mithuro International

Mr. Thusitha Rajapaksha

Founder

Kalana Mithuro International was founded by Mr. Thusitha Rajapaksha, a devoted humanitarian and proud Sri Lankan who has lived in France for over two decades. His deep-rooted love for his motherland and unwavering sense of compassion led him to create this non-profit social service organization many years ago.

With a heart dedicated to serving others, Mr. Rajapaksha has sacrificed his time, energy, and personal resources to improve the lives of countless Sri Lankans. He has worked tirelessly to support healthcare and education, offer aid to the underprivileged, and respond during times of crisis. His efforts also extend to protecting nature and animals, preserving Sri Lanka’s rich spiritual heritage, and assisting Buddhist monks with both their health and daily needs.

Under his leadership, Kalana Mithuro International has grown into a global network of supporters and volunteers—united by a shared commitment to creating a more compassionate, healthy, and sustainable Sri Lanka. His vision continues to inspire people around the world to stand together and make a difference.

Kalana Mithuro Community

Kalana Mithuro – A Community of True Friends

The name “Kalana Mithuro” beautifully means “Good Friends” in Sinhala—a reflection of the spirit that drives everything we do. At the heart of our organization is a growing global family of over 1,000 kind-hearted friends, both from Sri Lanka and around the world, who come together with one purpose: to serve humanity and protect our environment. This powerful community has made it possible for us to carry out countless life-changing projects—from supporting children’s education and building healthcare facilities, to protecting wildlife, preserving nature, and helping communities in times of crisis. Every donation, every act of service, and every project completed has been powered by the generosity and compassion of the Kalana Mithuro community. We are not funded by institutions—we are driven by people. People who believe in giving, in kindness, and in building a better Sri Lanka for all.
